Day 122, May 2, 2010 - I'm Gonna Make You An Offer You Can't Refuse

Sometimes I worry about my kids.  They ain't right...

Day 121, May 1, 2010 - Because I'm Cool

Meet my little Kelly Gregg!

Day 120, April 30, 2010 - Never Interrupt An Artist At Work

This is my nephew Diego...he's concentrating very hard.  He takes his work seriously.

Day 118, April 18, 2010 - Batter Up!

Day 117, April 27, 2010 - Our Woods

Really.  Love them!

Day 116, April 26, 2010 - Look Into My Eyes

Ron found this turtle in our backyard.  Matthew thought it was pretty cool and Ry actually tried to kiss it when we showed it to him.  Aye!

Day 115, April 25, 2010 - Sharp Shooter

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Day 114, April 24, 2010 - Ol' Blue Eyes

Well, at least he looks like an angel.  Maybe I should add some horns to this picture so it more accurately portrays him!

Day 113, April 23, 2010 - Firepit Night!!!!

Friends, beer, and good conversation.  Need I say more???

Day 112, April 22, 2010 - Where My Ballers At?

The day before Easter, we went to my sister's house for a block party.  One of the kids on her block had a basketball hoop, and we soon discovered how much Matthew loved to play basketball.  He played the entire time we were there...whether the other kids were or not.  So, for his birthday, his Nina bought him his very own basketball hoop.  He loves it, and so do all the adults!

Day 111, April 21, 2010 - The Lion Sleeps Tonight

In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight...

Day 108, April 18, 2010 - Sunday Hike

Today, Ron and I took the boys out for a nice long hike through the State Park.  It was absolutely gorgeous.  The forest floor was covered with clover, and it was beautiful.  The path was perfectly carved without disturbing any of the surrounding natural habitat.  Matthew spotted some deer (I think there were 7 total) and a beautiful butterfly.  We had a great time, and it was nice to spend the day with my boys!

Day 107, April 17, 2010 - More Spring Color!!!

Wow...you can tell it was a long gray winter.  I am loving all of this color popping up everywhere.  We actually toyed with the idea of cutting down this bush when the renovations started.  I'm SO glad we didn't.

Day 106, April 16, 2010 - Cookie Has Something Important to Tell Me

Ry discovered that his favorite friends live in the computer...

Day 105, April 15, 2010 - Goofy

Seriously, this kid cracks me up.  I know I've said it before, but really he does.  How could you not laugh at this?

What makes it even funnier is this is the second before...

Day 104, April 14, 2010 - Just Cool.

Ok, it's been a pretty busy week around here, so I'm not ashamed to say I'm pulling out an old pic.  I did edit it a little, doesn't that count for something?

This is from our trip to the park a few weeks ago.  I was psyched because I got those little streak thingys coming off the sun (yeah, that's a technical photog term).  Anyway, I think it looks cool. I've tried and tried and tried many times, but could never get it to work.  Finally, a little persistence pays off!!!

Oh, and the only editing was done to deepen the color...the sunburst is real!

Day 103, April 13, 2010 - Go Ahead. I Dare You.

Yeah, just try it.  He'll eat you.

Day 102, April 12, 2010 - Tree at Dusk

Really, that's what this is...a tree at dusk.  It just looked cool, so I snapped a pic...and then played with my editing tool a little.  Yeah, my backyard is cool, but not that cool. ;)

Day 101, April 11, 2010 - Happy Birthday Matthew!!!

Today, my little man turned 6 years old.  Wow.  Six years old.  I can't believe it.  This means he's not a little little boy anymore - he's officially a big little boy.  He just seems so much older and more mature than a year ago when he turned 5.  I know that sounds totally silly talking about a 6 year old, but I don't know how else to word it!  He's gone through so many changes, and he really isn't a baby anymore.  He's mommy's honest-to-goodness big boy. I'm okay with it though...really.

Happy Birthday Buddy.  I LOVE YOU!!!

Here he is with his "Army Cannon Tractor" cake.  For the rest of us, that's a tank!  He requested this the day before when I made the mistake of asking what kind of cake he wanted.  Silly Mommy was thinking about the flavor.  Maybe I should watch my wording a little closer next time!

Matthew also got to pick what we made for dinner that night.  His choice?  Spaghetti and meatballs. Yum!

Of course, Ry enjoyed Matthew's birthday dinner as well.  (Not that we've found any type of food Ry does not enjoy!)

And, finally, here he is with his gift from Mommy and Daddy...a digital camera!  Seems like I have a budding camera nerd on my hands.  Yay!!

Day 100, April 10, 2010 - Dance Baby Dance!

Ry got a toy from the Easter Bunny at Mom-Mom and P-Pop's house.  It's a cute little duck that plays the "Chicken Dance" song when you pinch it's foot.  He absolutely loves that thing.  It's hilarious.  He will dig it out of his toy pile, bring it over to the ottoman, turn it on, and dance his little heart away.  It's so cute.

Day 99, April 9. 2010 - My Man

Tonight was Parents Night Out at daycare, which means they keep the kids late so Mommy and Daddy can have a night out.  This also means that I did not have a chance to take any pics today.  So, what better day to post a pic of my man.

I love this man!  He is an awesome husband, a great father, and just a good, good person.  I'm one very lucky woman.

Day 98, April 8, 2010 - Scenes from the Track

A little over a week ago, Ron took Matthew to the BMX track to watch his cousin race.  That was all Matthew needed.  He was hooked.  Ever since then, he has begged to go the track. Every.Single.Day.  So, tonight we obliged since he had all of his homework done.  He had a blast and I got some great shots!  Oh yeah, Daddy had some fun too!

Warning: Pic overload!!!

Day 97, April 7, 2010 - The Easter Hangover Begins...

Ugh.  I hate candy.  I have no willpower.  I suck.

Day 96, April 6, 2010 - Spring Has Sprung!

Gotta love it.  The weather is beautiful!  The temperature is rising!  The trees are blooming!  We are leaving the house again!  The pollen is in FULL force.  Oh well, four outta five ain't bad!

Day 95, April 5, 2010 - Like Father, Like Son

Self explanatory. I love it.

Day 94, April 4, 2010 - Happy Easter!

I love catching little moments like these.  They make the best pictures.

Day 93, April 3. 2010 - Ry's Easter Egg Hunt

My sister's neighborhood had a block party today and she was kind enough to invite the Schmidt family over for some good old fashion fun.  It was a really nice time.  Sometimes I think it would be really nice to live in a "true" neighborhood where we can do fun things like that, but then I think of the things we can do because we don't live there.  We can have fires in our backyard, go four-wheeling in the woods, and party all night long without anyone bothering us.  I guess there are pros and cons everywhere!  Anyway, I digress.  Back to the block party. There was an Easter Egg hunt for the kiddos, two actually, one for the kids under 3 and one for the kids over 3.  I tried really hard to get Ry to participate, really I did.  Well, this is what I got...

Day 92, April 2, 2010 - Matthew's Playground

Matthew and I had the chance to hang out at the playground today sans little brother.  It was really nice to just have some Mommy/Matthew time.  We missed Ry, but Matthew definitely enjoyed being the center of attention again!  And, if I'm gonna be honest, it was nice to just sit back and play with my camera and not have to worry about chasing Ry three miles down the trail!

Ok, Let's Try this Again!!

So, I'm a slacker...what are you going to do?

I'm declaring a fresh start and I will be going back to one pic a day.  Giving myself a free pass to do 7 a week just didn't work out.  I procrastinated waaaayyyy too much.

So, onward and upward!!!

Week 8 - February 21, 2010 thru February 27, 2010

So, let's review this week.  I like taking pictures of my pretty candle holder, Ry loves some pasta, and Matthew makes a mean pizza...

One vase three ways:  (Truthfully, this was a great way to play with my photo editing tool.)
Ryan loves him some pasta followed by Wheel...

Matthew is a pizza making fool.  It was as delicious as it looks!

Project 365/52...

When I set out to do this in the beginning of the year, my friend Mel told me that it was hard.  And, it is very, very hard.  Add into the mix that I have a full-time job, two kids, a husband, a house, and a class I'm taking now...I just can't keep up anymore.

That said, I AM NOT A QUITTER!!!  However, I'm going to revise my goal.  My new goal is still to take 365 pictures, but break it down weekly, rather than daily.  That means 7 pictures a week for 52 weeks. One post per week.  Those 7 pictures can be taken all in one day, or spread out over the week, it doesn't matter.  It just has to be 7 per week.  I think I can do this.  I will do this!!!!

Day 52, February 21, 2010 - Words To Live By

My sister gave me this a few years ago and we finally hung it up above our entertainment center where we can see it everyday.  I love having it there because it's a gentle reminder that through all the hustle and bustle of daily life the things that matter most are the simple things.

Live life passionately.

Laugh until your belly hurts.

Love unconditionally.

These truly are words to live by.  Without any of these, what's the point???

Day 51, February 20, 2010 - I Love You.

Wow.  ((Insert Mommy tears here.))
