We have half of a dead pine tree next to our house. Believe it or not, I actually like the tree. I think it lends some character to our woods. We have an acre of nothing but woods, and I like a dead tree. Really??? It makes no sense to me either. I can't figure it out. Anyway, I love watching the squirrels and birds play on it, and from time to time, you can hear a woodpecker out there pecking away at it. It's been a while since I looked out at it, so imagine my surprise when I saw how much progress he has made. He's been a busy little guy!
